INDIVIDUAL SESSION ONLY

This workshop will begin with a guided breathwork session led by Edgar. It will be rooted in traditional Ashtanga Yoga and designed to help calm the nervous system, cultivate presence, and prepare the mind for deeper exploration. From there, Joseph will offer a dharma talk rooted in the traditional teachings of yoga philosophy. Drawing from classical yogic texts and lineages, this presentation will explore how these timeless teachings can help us navigate the challenges, relationships, and questions of contemporary life. Whether you’re new to yoga philosophy or looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop offers an opportunity to connect with the heart of the tradition and consider how its wisdom remains relevant today. Open to all levels. No prior experience required.

INDIVIDUAL SESSION ONLY

Mysore is the traditional method of learning Ashtanga Yoga through an individualized, teacher-guided self-practice. Students practice at their own pace while receiving personalized instruction, hands-on assistance, and one-on-one guidance within the group setting.This approach allows practitioners to develop a deeper understanding of the sequence while building consistency, independence, and confidence in their practice. Students should be familiar with the Ashtanga Primary Series through at least the standing postures in order to get the most out of the Mysore experience. Joseph and Edgar will provide individualized support appropriate to your level and experience.

In this workshop, Joseph and Edgar will break down the mechanics that make these movements possible and guide you through progressive drills designed to help you build confidence and develop lift. Together, you’ll explore the foundations of floating transitions, how they relate to arm balances and inversions, and practical strategies for making the seemingly impossible feel attainable. Whether you’re working toward your first jump back or refining an established practice, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what these movements require and a roadmap for continued progress.

Explore the ashtanga breathing sequence under Edgar’s guidance, with detailed instructions and cueing that will allow all levels to feel nurtured. This workshop will combine active strengthening, mindful movement, and longer yin-style opening holds designed to help release tension, improve range of motion, and support healthier movement patterns. These practices can enhance your Vinyasa or Ashtanga practice while creating greater ease in poses such as Pigeon, Lotus, and seated forward folds. Whether your hips feel tight or you’re looking to refine an existing practice, you’ll leave with practical tools to help you move with more freedom and stability. Open to all levels.
